At Meatco, we understand our Corporate Social Responsibility/ Investment (CSR/I) as manifested in the way our values, corporate culture and operations come together with our social, economic and environmental concerns. This is done, through our CSR/I vehicle the Meatco Foundation established and aimed at coordinating all the developmental work that Meatco is doing among communal cattle farmers throughout the country from where we operate from. The Foundation’s objective is to promote socioeconomic development and empowerment as well as enhance livelihoods in the livestock sector. The Meatco Foundation is proactively involved in projects that empower and promote sustainable agricultural practices and drive rural economic development. It serves as a key enabler of Meatco’s broader corporate responsibility, linking business growth with social progress in Namibia’s rural communities. The regions of operations are central to Namibia’s communal livestock farming sector, in the Southern and Northern Communal Areas, where the Foundation's projects aim to improve living standards, foster agricultural resilience, and contribute to sustainable development.
